Dundas Detour Day – This annual event continues to be sponsored by Dawn’s Corner Bar (200 Railway St N, downtown) and will be on Sunday, September 1 with live music by “Smokescreen” at 8:00 p.m. Something going on all during the day so come down to participate, eat great food and soothe your thirst.
Chickens are now officially allowed in Dundas. The City Council approved an Ordinance outlining how many, type of structure, etc. For more information read Ordinance 2019-06.
New home construction will soon begin with three model homes on Bridgewater Parkway in the Bridgewater Heights development. Road work and excavation will be going on as well. This is the third phase of the development approved for 49 single-family homes. (map)
Budgeting has City staff busy preparing the 2020 Budget and Preliminary Levy which will be considered by the City Council at their meeting on Monday, September 9 at 7:00 p.m.
YMCA is celebrating “5” years in the new building with an Open House on Sunday, September 29 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Family, friends and community are all invited to help celebrate this event. There will be tours, games for kids, bounce houses, drawings/prizes, and much more. Location: 1501 Honeylocust Drive (behind Target).
Park Board will be sponsoring “Trunk or Treat” on Friday, October 25 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Memorial Park. Great time for kids to come down as all “treats” come from costume designed trunks of cars/trucks by local residents and businesses.
Flushing hydrants will occur mid-September to mid-October so check your water before washing clothes.
