Between Earth and Sky Sculpure
by Mac Gimse

In 2006, the Artrail Committee was formed under the direction of Friends of the Mill Towns State Trail with a vision to provide works of arts along the Mill Towns Trail. At this time, artist Mac Gimse was asked to create the first art piece to be placed at the Trailhead in Dundas. Mac had a vision for a 24-foot sculpture, which was inspired by a poem he composed representing his Scandinavian agrarian roots along with an expression of the exuberance of youth and the interdependence of all ages.
Eleven years later, this majestic piece of art will complete its journey and be home in Dundas this fall.
