Meters for residents and businesses are read at the end of the month. Utility billings are then calculated and mailed and due by the 15th of the following month (or as indicated on the billing) to avoid a penalty charge. Utilities included on the billing are water, sewer, garbage, Minnesota Test Fee, and any tax. Utility bills can be mailed to City Hall at PO Box 70 - Dundas, MN 55019-0070 or can be deposited in the afterhours depository located on the front of the building. Please notify City Hall two to three business days in advance of your moving into or out of a home/business by calling 645-2852 so arrangements can be made regarding the final utility bill.
For people who do an excessive amount of lawn watering or have an automatic sprinkler system, a separate outside radio read meter may be purchased from City Hall at an additional cost plus the cost of installation. Arrangements can be made through the City for a plumber to install the meter.
